Parents' Association

The Parents' Association for Bancroft's School is a well established element of school life. The broad aim of the Association is to enhance the already outstanding environment in which our children work towards academic success and develop as individuals. The Association runs various events during the school year to provide funds, which we then distribute by way of equipment, events and provisions which complement the activities of the School.

The Association is made up of Committee Members each of whom take responsibility for the direct organisation of one of the events run or supported by the PA and/or hold one of the officer posts. These members attend regular meetings to discuss future events and to support the event managers within the group. Events could not be run, and would not be successful, without the support of the co-opted members who contribute by providing direct support at the events without the requirement to become a full member.

The Association’s AGM and Open Evening were held in the Prep Hall on Thursday 13 October 2011.  Mrs Ireland kindly addressed the meeting and thanked the PA for all their hard work and enthusiasm over the past year. Annie Eagland was elected as the new Chair and thanked Mark Chambers for all his hard work and support during his time as Chair. Also, Shaun Eason was voted in as the new Secretary following Rochelle Posner’s retirement. Again, thanks were given to Rochelle for all her hard work over the many years that she has served on the PA. There were also new committee members and co-opted members elected.

We are currently planning for, and looking forward to, the events taking place in 2012: especially the Summer Ball, which is now sold out, Sports Day and the annual Parents v Staff Cricket Match.   For more information about the PA's forthcoming events please click on this link.
