Joining Bancroft's

view1There are two main ages of entry to Bancroft's: at 7+ (into Year 3) and at 11+ (into Year 7). We recruit about 50 pupils a year at each age, from a very wide range of independent and state schools. Entrance is by our own competitive exams, held in January. There is no need to register for these exams more than a year ahead.

There are smaller entries at 13+ (into Year 9) and 16+ (into the Sixth Form). About six pupils a year are admitted at 13+, on the basis of our entrance exam, which involves papers in English and Maths.

Places may occasionally become available at other ages as families move out of the area; those interested in transferring to Bancroft's should contact the Admissions Registrar (tel: 020 8506 6761, e-mail:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We currently have a few Fee-Paying places available in some subjects for Sixth Form entry (16+), for September 2010, details of which may be seen on the relevant page, please follow the link 16+.
